In the mountains

Bremen-born painter Katrin Ullmann lives and works in Valais, Switzerland. Her oil paintings and watercolors of the Swiss mountains show the diverse beauty of the Alpine region with its striking peaks and sharp ridges, green valleys and clear mountain lakes.

Here, where the landscape rises several thousand meters into the sky, clouds and mountain peaks combine to form an overwhelming unity, creating unique colors and light conditions. But the painter also captures individual lake landscapes in Finland and Norway and cloudy skies in northern Germany.
