FRIENDS OF THE OVERBECK-MUSEUM e.V.

The association “Friends of the Overbeck-Museum e.V.” was founded in 1987 and promotes the Overbeck-Museum, among other things by raising donations. An honorary association board accompanies and supports the activities of the museum. Since 2007, the association has been a partner of the Kulturbüro Bremen Nord gGmbH and operates jointly with the KITO, Kulturbahnhof and Gustav-Heinemann-Bürgerhaus.

Members of the association “Friends of the Overbeck Museum e.V.” enjoy exclusive benefits, such as free admission to the Overbeck-Museum all year round and discounts on lectures and art trips. With their annual donation they also make a significant contribution to the preservation of the Overbeck-Museum and to the promotion of art in the North of Bremen.

A single membership is possible with a yearly donation of 50 euros or more, a joint membership for couples and families with a minimum yearly donation of 75 euros.

With an annual donation of at least 150 euros, you can become a supporting member. In addition to all the benefits of a regular membership, supporting members receive free admission to all public guided tours in the Overbeck-Museum as well as a personal invitation to exclusive preview tours of each new exhibition on the eve of the opening of the exhibition.

Volunteering

Spending a Sunday afternoon surrounded by original artworks is a pleasure for many. Everybody who enjoys art and is open to new experiences, is welcome to the Overbeck-Museum. In order to keep the museum open all weekend, we depend on volunteers.

For Saturdays and Sundays, mornings or afternoons (3 hours each), we are looking for volunteer support, acting as guards in our exhibition rooms.

Whether once a week, once a month or less frequent – every help is welcome. No special knowledge is required. The only prerequisite is the enjoyment of art and of spending time with people.
